CIRUM is a local NGO working with ethnic minority groups in the mountainous provinces in Vietnam to support their legal rights over forest and land resources. To aid their main objective, CIRUM runs cultural tours to Y Tý, a commune in the Bát Xát district bordering China. Roughly 4 hours bus ride from Hanoi, this mountainous region is stunningly picturesque and home to a number of ethnic minority groups like Hà Nhì, H’Mông and Đào Đo.
